Angela

Angela is a dear friend of mine. The dress was bought on Granville St. in a store called Organized Kaos. We were teenagers then and downtown Vancouver was exciting. The store didn't last long but it was pretty neat. I remember that they used to carry Symbiotech body jewellery.

I had a hard time with this shoot due to the space (about 2x3m). Anyone with some tips and tricks with shooting in a very small and confined space? Let's hear it!

Bear Qee

Here's one from photo school shot on 4x5 black and white sheet film.
The assignment (black on black) was one of my favourite from second term.
This bear Qee was a gift from my uncle.

And here is the set-shot. What the set shot doesn't show is we added a fill card directly above and another fill card infront and beneath the subject before we took the photo. So in total, that makes three lights and two fills cards.

Transparent

Better late than never! I did this shoot a couple of months ago with Liv Lethal. The transparent latex dress is made by Deadly Couture. Special thanks to Bill Grulkey for use of his space.

 

Galiano

We went to Galiano Island to camp for four nights at the end of August. It was beautiful, relaxing, and just plain old fun. I haven't been camping since with my grade 10 Phys Ed class so it has been a while. The weather was really nice while we were there. It drizzled for only a couple of hours.

We brought our Astro van so we were able to bring our cameras as well. I basically came home with too many pictures of my dog and pictures of little frogs.

I went kayaking for the first time ever and I enjoyed it way more than I expected to. We went on a three hour paddle with a mission to see some otters and seals. Beautiful beautiful beautiful.

 

 We went around the shell beach immediately after our tent was set up. It was a very bright sunny day.
