Mother's Day

For Mother's Day, I usually shower my mom with expensive gifts as a way of showing my appreciation for her. This year, I am knee deep in student loan and credit card debt (as I just bought a lighting kit, and I am going to Mexico in June?) so I lugged my new lights to Delta and told my mom that I was going to take pictures of the family for her.

We have one family portrait done professionally when I was around 7 years old. I did NOT like the photographer and made a point to not smile in the photo. The last time my dad took a photo of the family he used the self-timer. I think I was around 13.

I set up my lights in the double-beauty/clamshell fashion and my family had fun with taking turns being the photographer. It was a fun session but it probably wouldn't get a passing grade in school. Here is one of my sister Michelle and my mom.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there!
